Viven is the Belgian brewery of Tony and Krystle Tran, for whom brewing has been their lifelong passion for over 20 years. Krystle, one of the few female brewers in Belgium, is responsible for developing new flavors and different beers and expanding the range. She comes up with the recipes and brews the first test batches in cauldrons in Damme. Until 2015, all beer was brewed at De Proefbrouwerij, in Lochristi, where large volumes could be brewed.
The brewery was named after the small town of Vivenkapelle, where it was founded. In 2015, Viven's own new brewhouse was ready for launch. Tony is responsible for administrative tasks, logistics and sales. He was at the origin of the company more than twenty years ago. Initially, Tony and Dirk Nauds were in charge of brewing beer until Tony's wife, Krystle, took over in 2015.

The balance of bitterness and sweetness is reflected in the dry, lingering, slightly spicy aftertaste. Seafood, white meat, low-fat fish. Slices of jamon. Fried potatoes. Salads and fresh vegetables. White mold cheeses, aged hard cheeses. Almond or ginger cookies, berry cheesecakes.
