Brouwerij De Dochter van de Korenaar

De Dochter van de Korenaar translates into English as "Daughter of the barley ear. It is an old Flemish expression that has been applied to beer since at least the 16th century and has now become the name of a small family brewery from the Belgian enclave of Baarle-Hertog. The brewery was founded in 2007 by Dutch couple Moniek and Ronald Mengerink. Behind their house, they built a brewery with six tanks for 1,000 liters. It's in a very unusual location, in the Belgian town of Baarle-Hertog in the exclave inside the Netherlands.
Although it is technically a Belgian brewery, Dochter van de Korenaar varieties are different from what is usually brewed in Belgium. "What you get from the beers Ronald brews is a terrific, well-balanced taste with a focus on craft brews that are stylistically difficult to classify. And, indeed, Ronald Mengerink's beers are a mix of different characteristics from several styles and regions."
